Before Cerebrals & Liquids, which are follow- ed by അ, it glides into ഒ, as പുടവ poḍava, ഉറപ്പു or̀appu̥. ഉ aT. aC. Tu. A demonstrative √, correlative with അ & ഇ (1. the middle between two. 2. what is above. 3. that, yonder).
