ചൊദിച്ചു. ഞാൻ ഇനി ഇരുപതു സംവത്സരം കൂടി ഇരിക്കുമെന്ന അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു. അപ്പോൾ മന്ത്രി തന്റെ വാൾ ഊരി ഒരു വെട്ട കൊണ്ട ആ ജ്യൊതിഷക്കാരന്റെ തല ഛെദിച്ച രാജാവിനെ നൊക്കി സ്വാമി തന്റെ മരണം തനിക്കൗ തീരുമാനം അറിഞ്ഞുകൂടാത്തവവൻ മറ്റുള്ളവരുടെ മരണം തനിക്ക മുമ്പെ അറിയാമെന്ന പറഞ്ഞാൽ അവന്റെ വാക്ക നിങ്ങൾ വിശ്വസിക്കാമൊ.ആ വാക്കു പ്രമാണിച്ച നിങ്ങൾ ഇനി വ്യസനിക്കെണ്ട എന്ന ധൈൎയ്യം പറഞ്ഞു.രാജാവ ആ മന്ത്രിയുടെ ബുദ്ധിയിങ്കൽ സന്തൊഷിച്ച അവന്ന വളരെ ബഹുമാനങ്ങൾ കൊടുത്തു. അതുകൊണ്ട ജ്യൊതിഷക്കാരുടെ വാക്ക പ്രമാണിക്കരുത.
15th STORY.
In the country of Agra lived a king , whom an astrologer was daily in the habit of visiting . One day the king enquired of him, how many years he would live. The astrologer told him ,that he would not live more than two years. Upon hearing this,the king was exceedingly distressed. The minister,who was present,hearing this speech ,thus addressed the astrologer."As you have said that the king will not live more than two years,pray how long will you yourself live." He answered, that he would live twenty years longer. The minister immediately drew his sword and at one blow cut off the astrologer's head, and relieved the king from his fears, by saying, O sir! Can you believe the words of a fellow pretends to predict the death of others, while he is utterly ignorant of his own. Give yourself no further trouble about them. The king was delighted at the wisdom of the minister,and bestowed a great reward on him. Therefore,people should not put faith in the words of astrologers.
