there lived at Conjeveram a learned man,Who got his livelihood by teaching of boys. One day a lad come to him ,and having expressed his acquire knowledge, begged him to instruct him in the art and science.The learned man wishing to find out what sort of abilities the lad had,asked him , where God was; the lad replied ,I will answer you ,if you will first tell me where he is not. The sage,from this sensible reply,thought highly of the boy's understanding; and according to his wishes ,perfected him in his studies. Thus,a wise man early announces a reflecting mind.

ഒരു ജ്യൊതിഷക്കാരൻ വന്ന പൊയിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.ഒരു നാൾ ആ രാജാവ രം ജ്യൊതിഷക്കാരനെ നൊക്കി ഞാൻ ഇനി എത്ര കൊല്ലം ഇരിക്കും പറക എന്ന അരുളിചെയ്തു . തങ്ങൾ ഇനി രണ്ട കൊല്ലമല്ലാതെ അധികം ഇരിക്ക ഇല്ലെന്ന അവൻ ഉണർത്തിച്ചു.രാജാവം രം വാക്ക കെട്ട വളരെ വ്യസനപ്പെട്ടു.അപ്പൊൾ രാജാവിന്റെ അരികെ ഉള്ള മന്ത്രി രം വാക്ക കെട്ട ആ ജ്യൊതിഷക്കാനെ നൊക്കി രാജാവ അവർകൾ രണ്ട കൊല്ലമല്ലാതെ അധികം ഇരിക്ക ഇല്ലെന്ന പറഞ്ഞുവെല്ലൊ നീ എത്ര കൊല്ലം ഇരിക്കും എന്ന
