വിഷമൻ, ന്റെ. s. A malignant, mischievous person.
വിഷമന്ത്രക്കാരൻ, ന്റെ. s. A snake-catcher, one who by pretended charms, &c. attracts snakes and cures the bite.
വിഷമം, ത്തിന്റെ. s. 1. Difficulty, pain. 2. unevenness, roughness, inequality. 3. oddness. 4. an inaccessible place, a thicket. adj. 1. Difficult, (of access,) rough, uneven. 2. difficult as a book, &c. (of comprehending.) 3. painful, difficult, troublesome, (in general.) 4. odd, (in numbers.) 5. unparallelled, unequalled. 6. evil, bad.
വിഷമിക്കുന്നു, ച്ചു, പ്പാൻ. v. n. 1. To be troubled, to be in a state of difficulty, distress, or perplexity. 2. to be painful, mortal, or difficult of cure, as applied to diseases.
വിഷമിപ്പിക്കുന്നു, ച്ചു, പ്പാൻ. v. a. To throw into difficulties, to harass, to vex, to perplex.
വിഷം, ത്തിന്റെ. s. 1. Poison, venom, virus. 2. any

thing hurtful or destructive. 3. a particular vegetable poison, see വത്സനാഭി. 4. water. വെള്ളം. വിഷ മെറുന്നു, Poison to mount or take effect, or diffuse itself in the body. വിഷമിറങ്ങുന്നു, Poison to descend, to be counteracted, or expelled. വിഷമിറക്കുന്നു, To counteract, dispel, or expel poison. വിഷംകൊടുക്കു ന്നു, To administer poison.
വിഷംതീണ്ടൽ, ലിന്റെ. s. A being bit by a poisonous snake.
വിഷംതീണ്ടുന്നു, ണ്ടി, വാൻ. v. n. To be bit by a poisonous animal.
വിഷംതെച്ചയമ്പ, ിന്റെ. s. A poisoned arrow.
വിഷയം, ത്തിന്റെ. s. 1. Sense, any object of sense; any thing perceivable by the senses, as colour, form, flavour, odour and sound. ശബ്ദാദി. 2. a country whether inhabited or not. ദെശവിശെഷം. 3. depart- ment, sphere, element, home, that which is peculiarly known or frequented, as a particular study by its profes- sors, a particular town by its townsfolk, water by fish, air by birds, &c. 4. an object in general, as of affection or desire, &c. 5. respect, relation, in such phrases as, in this respect, in that respect. When used as a postpos. it means, Respecting, regarding. 6. origin, original cause. 7. se- men virile.
വിഷയായി, യുടെ. s. 1. A king. രാജാവ. 2. an or- gan of sense. ഇന്ദ്രയം. 3. CÁMADÉVA. 4. an epicurean, a sensualist, one heedful of objects of sense or attentive to worldly objects. 5. a materialist, one who disbelieves the existence of any thing which is not an object of senses. നാസ്തികൻ.
വിഷയി, &c. adj. Attached to objects of sense, carnal, worldly, sensual. ജഡസംബന്ധം. s. An organ of sense. ഇന്ദ്രിയം. 2. a sensualist. കാമി. 3. a mate- rialist, one who denies or disbelieves the existence of any thing, that is not an object of sense. നാസ്തികൻ. 4. a king. രാജാവ. 5. the deity CÁMADÉVA. കാമദെ വൻ.

വിഷയൈഷി, യുടെ. s. A sensualist.
വിഷയവൃക്ഷം, ത്തിന്റെ. s. A tree bearing a small nut nearly the size of a filbert, considered one of the strongest poisons, Andrachne Cadishaw.
വിഷവൈദ്യൻ, ന്റെ. s. A dealer in antidotes, one professing by charms, &c. to cure the bite of a snake.
വിഷവൈദ്യം, ത്തിന്റെ. s. The administration of antidotes, the cure of poisons by drugs or charms.
