ന്മാർ കൈസരല്ലാതെ ഞങ്ങൾ്ക്ക് രാജാവില്ല എന്നുണൎത്തിക്കയാൽ യേശുവെ
മൂന്നാമതും മശീഹയിലേ പ്രത്യാശയും മുഴുവനും നിരസിച്ചു കളഞ്ഞു.

(മത്ത.) ആകയാൽ പിലാതൻ കലഹം അധികം വൎദ്ധിക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു
മഹാചാൎയ്യരുടെ നിലവിളി ബലപ്പെടുന്നതു കേട്ടും (ലൂക്ക.) പു രുഷാരം കാണ്കെ
കൈകളെ കഴുകി, ഈ നീതിമാന്റെ രക്തത്തിൽ ഞാൻ നിൎദ്ദോഷൻ, നിങ്ങൾ
തന്നെ നോക്കുവിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു, ജനങ്ങളൊക്കയും ഇവന്റെ രക്തം ഞ
ങ്ങളുടെ മേലും മക്കളുടെ മേലും വരട്ടെ എന്നു വിളിക്കയും ചെയ്തു. നാടുവാഴിയു
ടെ ഒഴികഴിവ് എത്ര ദുൎബ്ബലമോ അത്ര ബലം ഏറിയത് യഹൂദരുടെ സ്വശ
പനം തന്നെ. ഇസ്രയേൽ പ്രധാനികളും തെരിഞ്ഞെടുത്ത ജാതിയും രോമാ
മഹാജനവും ഒന്നിച്ചെഴുനീറ്റു യഹോവയോടും അവന്റ അഭിഷിക്തനോ
ടും മത്സരിച്ച നേരം ഇതത്രെ (സങ്കീ. ൨).

(ലൂക്ക.) അനന്തരം നാടുവാഴി ബറബ്ബാവെ യഹൂദൎക്ക് വിടുവിച്ചു കൊ
ടുത്തു. അവനിലുള്ള മത്സരഭാവവും ഹിംസാതൃഷ്ണയും അന്നു മുതൽ യഹൂദദേശ

ദരരെ കൊന്നും പോയ ഭ്രഷ്ടനായ മനുഷ്യന്നു പാപബന്ധനത്തിൽനിന്നു വീ
ണ്ടെടുപ്പു വന്നതു യേശുവിന്മേൽ ശിക്ഷവിധിക്കയാൽ അത്രെ.

§154.

JESUS LED AWAY TO GOLGOTHA
യേശുവെ ഗൊല്ഗഥയിലെക്കു കൊണ്ടുപോയതു.

a) Jesus bearing His cross. Simon of Cyrene. യേശു തന്റെ ക്രൂശിനെ ചുമന്നുകൊണ്ടു പോയതു.

MATT. XXVII. 31 ... and led him away to crucify him. 32 And as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name: him they com- pelled to bear his Cross.

MARK XV. 20 ... and led him out to crucify him. 21 And they compel one Simon a Cyrenian, who passed by, coming out of the country, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to bear his cross.

LUKE XXIII. 26 And as they led him away, they laid hold upon one Simon, a Cyrenian, coming out of the country, and on him they laid the cross, that he might bear it after Jesus.

JOHN XIX. 16 ... And they took Jesus, and led him away. 17 And he bearing his cross went forth into a place called the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha:

27 And there followed him a great company of people, and of women, which also bewailed and lamented him. 28 But Jesus turning unto them said, Daugh- ters of Jerusalem, weep not for me, but weep for yourselves, and for your children. 29 For, behold, the days are coming, in the which they shall say, Blessed are the barren,	and the wombs that never bare, and the paps which never gave suck. 30 Then shall they begin to say to the moun- tains, Fall on us; and to the hills, Cover us. 31 For if they do these things in a green tree, what shall be done in the dry? 32 And there were also two other, malefactors, led with him to be put to death.

ക്കു ചേകവർ യേശുവെ മടിയാതെ സ്വവസ്ത്രങ്ങളെ ഉടുപ്പിച്ചു ഉച്ചെക്കു മുമ്പെ
