Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall pre- sently give me more than twelve legions of angels? 54. But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be? 55 In that same hour said Jesus to the multitudes, Are ye come out as against a thief with swords and staves for to take me? I sat daily with you teach- ing in the temple, and ye laid no hold om me. 56 But all this was done, that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples for- sook him, and fled.

I was daily with you in the temple tea- ching, and ye took me not; but the scriptures must be fulfilled. 50 And they all for- sook him, and fled. 51 And there fol- lowed him a certain young man, having a linen cloth cast about his naked body; and the young men laid hold om him: 52 And he left the linen cloth, and fled from them naked.

Then asked he them again, Whom seek ye? And they said, Jesus of Nazareth. 8 Jesus answered, I have told you that I am he: if therefore ye seek me, let these go their way: 9 That the saying might be fulfilled, which he spake, Of them which thou gavest me have I lost none. 10 Then Simon Peter hav- ing a sword drew it, and smote the high priest's servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant's name was Malchus, 11. Then said Jesus unto Peter, Put up thy sword into the sheath: the cup which my Father hath given me, shall not drink it? 12. Then the band and the captain and officers of the Jews took Jesus, and bound him.

കൂടെ നടപ്പാൻ സമ്മതിച്ചു, ഏകദേശം പടെക്കാമാറു യാത്ര ആകയും ചെയ്തു.

തോട്ടത്തെ വളഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ താൻ ബദ്ധപ്പെട്ടു മുന്നടന്നു കൎത്താവിന്റെ
നേരെ വന്നു, റബ്ബീ റബ്ബീ വാഴുക എന്നു ചൊല്ലി ചുംബിപ്പാൻ തുനിഞ്ഞാറെ
യേശു ഹേ തോഴ, നീ ഇവിടെ വന്നതു എന്തിന്നു (മത്ത.)? മനുഷ്യപുത്രനെ ചും
ബിച്ചു ദ്രോഹിക്കുമോ (ലൂക്ക.) എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. ആ സൎപ്പത്തിൻ കടിയിൽനിന്നു
തെറ്റി, തോട്ടത്തിൻ വാതുക്കൽ തന്നെ ശിഷ്യരെ മുൻനിന്നു പാലിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു
മാറ്റാന്മാരെ എതിരേറ്റു, നിങ്ങൾ ആരെ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
അവർ നചറക്കാരനായ യേശുവെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ “ഞാൻ ആകുന്നു”

കാരം ശിഷ്യരുടെ രക്ഷയെ പ്രാപിക്കയും ചെയ്തു (യോ.).
