കൎത്താവിനെ ഉടനെ പിടിപ്പാൻ കഴിയായ്കയാൽ മഹാലോകർ ദ്വേഷ്യത്തെ
അല്പം മറെച്ചു കൌശലം വിചാരിച്ചു. ൩ പരീക്ഷകളെകൊണ്ടു യേശുവെ
കുടുക്കി നാടുവാഴിയുടെ നേരെ എങ്കിലും ജനത്തിന്റെ നേരെ എങ്കിലും കുറ്റ
ക്കാരൻ ആക്കുവാൻ ശ്രമിച്ചതിപ്രകാരം:
രോമൎക്ക് ഇങ്ങു വാഴുവാൻ ന്യായം ഇല്ലല്ലോ; മശീഹയും അവരെ സമ്മ
തിക്കയില്ല എന്നു പറീശരും ഹെരോദ്യരും ഉള്ളിൽ നിശ്ചയിച്ചു യേശുവെ
സ്വാമിദ്രോഹിയാക്കുവാൻ ഭാവിച്ചു. നീ ആരേയും വിചാരിയാതെ ദൈവമാ
ൎഗ്ഗത്തെ ഉണ്മയായി ഉപദേശിക്കുന്ന സത്യവാനും തന്റേടക്കാരനും എന്നുള്ള
മുഖസ്തുതി മുന്നിട്ടു, കൈസൎക്ക് നികുതി കൊടുക്കാമോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. അ
വനോ അവരുടെ ധൂൎത്തതയെ കണ്ടു, വ്യാജക്കാരേ, എന്തിന്നു എന്നെ പരീക്ഷി
ക്കുന്നു,നികുതിനാണ്യം കാട്ടുവിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാറെ അവർ ഒരു ദെനാരെ
കൊണ്ടുകൊടുത്തു രൂപവും എഴുത്തും നോക്കി കൈസരുടെത് എന്നു ഏറ്റുപ
റഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ എങ്കിൽ കൈസരുടേത് കൈസരിന്നും ദൈവത്തിന്റേത് ദൈ
വത്തിന്നും കൊടുപ്പിൻ എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു. യഹൂദന്മാർ മതഭ്രാന്തിനാൽ കലക്കി
