I. കൊക്കു kokkụ 5. Cackling, chucking.
കൊക്കുക, ക്കി T. M. to cackle as a hen, to chuck,
cluck, pipe, to cry as a deer. [ച്ചു etc.
കൊക്കിക്ക freq.=prec. എലി, കോഴി കൊക്കി
കൊക്കിക്കുര, കൊക്കുര hooping cough.
II. കൊക്കു M. C. Te. Tu. 1. Long beak, bill
(കൊത്തുക). കൊക്കുള്ള കത്തി pointed knife.

കൊങ്ങു koṇṇu̥ (C. bent) T. M. 1. prob. Mount-
ain declivity, N. pr. of the Chēra or Kēraḷa
country, esp. the country about Coimbatoor
(similar കുടകു). 2. Bauhinia variegata.
Hence: കൊങ്ങൻ=ചേരൻ a M.

കൊങ്ങുക koṇṇuγa (loc.) To sport, coquet;
see കൊഞ്ചുക.
കൊച്ച kočča 1. (prh. കോച്ച q. v.) Husk of
legumen, sesam, etc. V2. (softer than തൊ
ണ്ടു). — but So. f. i. പയറ്റു കൊച്ച്; comp.
foll. — 2. paddy bird=കൊക്കു PT. 3. So.=
കൊഞ്ഞ stutter.
കൊച്ചക്കാലൻ (2) a man with long legs; hinder
legs being longer than the forelegs.
കൊച്ചു kočču̥ M. (T. C. Te. കൊഞ്ചം, see കു
ഞ്ചു) C. Te. ഗുജ്ജു 1. Short, small, young, mean
മൂഷികൻ തന്റെ കൊച്ചു കൈ PT. 2. (also
കൊച്ചൻ) little boy, stunted fruit.
Hence: കൊച്ചമ്മ So.=ഇളയമ്മ; Trav. loc. a
Syr. priest's wife — hon. for മസ്ക്യാമ്മ Syr.
