(9-5-44):-'I have received your letter of may the 4th enclos- ing notices regarding the 16th Annual Session of your Academy to be held at Ernakulam the next Saturday and the following days. I am very sorry that I cannot be in Ernakulam at the time; and I am , therefore, obliged to decline your kind invitation to attend the Conference on the opening days.
