This machine consists of a wheel and a
cylinder. As the power acts at the cir
cumference of the wheel and the resi
stance at that of the cylinder, the radius
of the wheel represents an arm of power
and the radius of the cylinder an arm of
resistance and we have simply a lever I b.
Hence the law formed for the levers holds
also true for this machine.
