നമസ്തേ 1. worship to thee, (f. i. ന. നാരായണ, ന. നരകാരേ AR.) & നമസ്തൈ vu., used proverbially for a beginning (അവൻ ഇ പ്പോൾ ന. എന്നു തുടങ്ങുന്നു afresh) & for the end ന. എന്നായിപ്പോയി=തീൎന്നു പോ യി. 2. (loc. നവസ്തേ) newly, at first. So. നമസ്തേ തൈവെക്ക to plant the first cocoa- nut-plant in a garden.
