രാജ്യാംഗം, ത്തിന്റെ. s. A requisite of regal admini- stration, variously enumerated as seven, eight or nine, viz. first, the king; second, the prime minister; third, a friend or ally; fourth, treasure; fifth, territory; sixth, a strong hold; seventh, an army; the eighth is the popu- lation or companies of citizens, and ninth, the Purohit or spiritual adviser.

A name common to three incarna- tions of VISHNU; or PARASURAMA, the son of the Muni JAMADAGNI, born at the commencement of the second, or Tréta Yuga, for the purpose of punishing the tyrannical kings of the Cshetriya race; RÁMACHANDRA, the son of DASARAT´HA, king of Oude, born at the close of the se cond age, to destroy the demons who infested the earth, and especially RÁWANA the Daitya sovereign of Ceylon; and BALARÁMA, the elder and half-brother of CRISHNA, the son of ROHINI, born at the end of the Dwapara or third age. 2. a name of WARUNA or Neptune, regent of the waters. 3. a black man. 4. a white man. 5. a beautiful and pleasing man.

രാമെശ്വരം, ത്തിന്റെ. s. Ráméswaram, a Hindu sacred place, with a celebrated temple, situated between the Island of Ceylon and the Coromandel Coast; where the Hindu deity RÁMA is said to have formed what is called Adam's bridge and thereby to have passed from India to Ceylon.
