ഒരിക്കുമ്പോൾ അവിടെ ഒരു കള്ളൻ വന്ന അവനെ നൊക്കി രു ബാലിഭൻ ഒരു കിണറ്റിൻ വക്കത്ത ഉച്ചത്തിൽ കര ഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടിനീ എന്തിനാകുന്നു കരയുന്നത എന്ന ചൊദിച്ചു. ഞാൻ ഇവിടെ കളിച്ചൂകൊണ്ടാരം കിണറ്റിലെക്കു കുനിഞ്ഞ് നൊക്കിയപൊൾ എന്റെ കഴുത്തിലുണ്ടായിരുന്ന മുത്തുമാല ഊരി വെള്ളത്തിൽ വീണൂപൊയി. ഇപ്പൊൾ ഞാൻ മാലയില്ലാതെ വീട്ടിലെക്കു പൊയാൽ എന്നെ എന്റെ അമ്മയും അഛ്ചനും അടിക്കും ഇതുകൊണ്ടു കരയുന്നു എന്ന ആ ബാലിഭൻ പറഞ്ഞപ്പൊൾ ആ കള്ളൻ അതു തനിക്കു കയ്ക്കലാക്കി കൊണ്ടപൊകെണമെന്ന യൊജന ചെയ്യു എറടൊ നീ ഭയപ്പെടെണ്ട ഞൻ കിണറ്റിൽ ഇറങി നിന്റെ മുത്തുമാല എടുത്തു തരുന്നുണ്ട എന്റെ വസ്ത്രം മാത്രം നീ ഭദ്രമായി സൂക്ഷിക്ക എന്ന പറഞ്ഞു.തന്റെ വസ്ത്രം വക്കത്ത വെച്ച നഗ്നമയായി കിണട്ടി ലെക്കു ഇറങി അവൻ വെള്ളത്തിൽ മുങുമ്പൊഴെക്ക ആ ബാലൻ അവന്റെ വസ്ത്രം എടുത്തുകൊണ്ട മണ്ടിപ്പൊയി.ആ കള്ളൻ എറെനെരം തെരഞിട്ടും മാല കിട്ടയ്കകൊണ്ടു കരെക്ക കെറി നൊക്കുമ്പൊൾ ആ ചെക്കനെ എവിടെയും കാണ്മാൻ ഇല്ലായിരുന്നു.അന്നെരം കള്ളനായിരിക്കുന്ന എന്നെ ഒരു ചെക്കൻ പയറ്റിച്ചുവെല്ലൊ എന്ന വിചാരിച്ചു.ആയൂ കൊണ്ട എത്ര തന്നെ സമർഥൻ എന്ന ഒരുത്തൻ തന്നെത്താൻ നിനച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നാലും മറ്റുള്ളവരെ മൊശം പറ്റിച്ചുകളയും
19th STORY.
As a boy was sitting on the brink of a Well crying bitterly, a thief came there ,and seeing him ,asked him why he was crying.He answered ,as I was playing here I looked in to this well,when the necklace of pearls that was on my neck, slipped off and fell into the water. Now, if I go home without the necklace, my father and mother will beat me; on this account I am crying. The thief, thinking he would be able to steal it, said to him "Don't be afraid my lad, I will go down into the well and get your pearl necklace, do you only take care of my clothes." Having left his clothes on the bank, he descended into the well naked. As soon as he had got to the bottom, the boy tool his clothes and ran away with them.
