292. How are the concessive participles used?

Both the concessive participles are used in the same
Way.

Ex: 'marichchálum' véṇṭatilla [=it is not (a thing to be) re-
quired (at any one's hands) i. e. is of no consequence, 'even
if I die']; 'koṭuttíṭilum' bhakti illenkil pizha varum (=though
'one has given' etc.)

293. Is not the one with 'álum' used in an imperative
use?

Yes; but in such instances, 'koḷḷám' is understood.

Ex: 'ar̥ińńálum', 'órttálum' etc. if fully expressed would
be 'ar̥ińńálum koḷḷám' (=it would be acceptable if you
knew), órttálum koḷḷám (=it would be acceptable if you re-
membered).

294. In what senses are the concessives 'enkilum'
[=though (one) say], 'éninum' [=though (one)
say], 'áyálum' [=though (it) be], 'ánum (=áyinum)'
[=though (it) be], joined with the interrogative
pronouns?

To give the meaning of indefiniteness and universality.

Ex: 'évanenkilum' (=any one); 'áránum' (=whosoever); ár-
áyálum' (=whosoever); 'étánum' (=whatsoever); 'enggénum'
(=wheresoever) etc.

295. With what may the infinitive and subjunctive and
concessive be classed?
