'Krŭtyákrŭtyangngaḷ iva' (=these are the things we should
do, and these we should not do); in this, the two words
'krŭtyam' and 'akrŭtyam' are united into one compound word
by the plural affix 'angngaḷ', and stand as the predicates.
Ráma Lakshmaṇanmáré chennŭ etirér̥r̥u' (= he went and
met Ráma and Lakshmaņa; in this, the two objects 'Ráma and
Lakshmaṇa' are formed into one compound word by the plural
accusative affix 'máré'.
If verbs, they may be joined:
i.) By being put into the infinitive with 'um' followed
by the requisite 'cheyyunnu' (=do) etc.
Ex: kuḷikkayum japikkayum cheyyunnatu nityakarmmánush-
ṭánam tanné (= to wash ourselves and say our prayers are
perpetual daily duties); in this 'kuḷikkayum japikkayum
cheyyunnatu' (= to wash ourselves and say our prayers) are
the subjects.
Avan kuḷikkayum japikkayum cheytu (= he did wash himself
and say his prayers); in this 'kuḷikkayum japikkayum cheytu'
(= did wash himself and say his prayers) are the predicates.
Avan kuḷikkayum japikkayum cheyyunnatiné ńán kaṇṭu
(= I saw him washing himself and saying his prayers); in
this 'kuḷikkayum japikkayum cheyyunnatiné' (= lit. his doing
his washing himself and saying his prayers) are the objects.
