It is because Malayálam possesses no adjectives; 'pa-
kshamáyuḷḷa' (though translated agreeable') is not an
adjective; it can be divided into three several words,
each of which has its own parsing.

223. Are there any compound verbs?

There are many.

The majority of these have some noun as the former-
member of the compound, and 'peṭunnu', 'ákunnu', or
some other such verb as the latter-member; if the noun
has an affix, it drops it, and the following surd is
doubled.

Ex: aka-ppeṭu (= be included), bhaya-ppeṭu (= be afraid),
uṇṭ-ákku (=come into being; be), nann-ákku (=amend, repair),
uru-máyu (= lose shape), vér̥u-tirikku (=separate), uḷ-koḷḷu
(= take in), and kei-koḷḷu (=accept).
