153. Has the negative mood any adnounal participles?
(a). It has. The form of one is exactly the same as that
of the negative finite verb.
Ex: kollákula (= a murder which does not kill), néṭáppon
(=gold which is not got) etc.; in these examples 'kollá' (= which
does not kill) and 'nétá' are negative adnounal participles.
(b). The neuter participial nouns formed from these
adnounal participles are used as finite verbs also.
Ex: atu varátu (= it will not, does not, or did not come),
mazha viṭátu (=the rain will etc. not leave off), atu taṭṭá-
ttu (taṭṭáttatu) (=it will etc. not take effect).
154. What is the form of the second adnounal negative
participle?
