I. പഴുക്ക pal̤ukka T. M. C. (Te. paṇḍu) 1. To

ripe fruit, കുല പഴുക്കുമ്പോൾ സങ്ക്രാന്തി, പഴു
ക്കാൻ മൂത്താൽ പറിക്ക prov.; പ. വെക്ക to put
fruits in straw (= പഴുപ്പിക്ക). 2. to become
well tempered, red-hot. പ. ച്ചുടുക to roast
well, എരിയുന്ന തീയിൽ പഴുത്ത നാരാചം KR.
3. to suppurate പുൺ പഴുക്കിൽ MM. 4. to
decay. പഴുത്തില a dried leaf, ദേഹം പഴു
ത്തു പോയീടും KR. = പഴകി.
പഴുത്തില hon. for betel, when Nāyars speak

VN. പഴുപ്പു 1. ripening of fruit, blighting of

CV. പഴുപ്പിക്ക 1. to ripen artificially as പഴം,
to heat as ഇരിമ്പു, to accustom, inure.

പഴുതു pal̤uδu (fr. പഴു & = പാഴ് T. = പഴി)
