ചരൻ čaraǹ S. (ചരം) Runner, spy, Mud.=

ചരമം čaramam S. Last, lowest. ചരമവയസി
Bhr. old; western ചരമഗിരി Bhr.

ചരയുക čarayuγa So. v. n. 1. To slacken, relax,
abate 2. V1. to twine, wriggle, to be wrinkled,
to curl (better ചുറയുക)—VN. ചരവു slackness;
relaxation; abatement.—v. a. ചരെക്ക V1.
ചരൽ čaral (C. ചട്ടു, C. Te. ഗരസു) Gravel,
also ചരക്കല്ല്. അവൎക്കു രത്നം ചരക്കല്ലുപോലെ
Si Pu. ചരക്കല്ലുകൾ വൎഷിക്കുന്നു Bhg. in a whirl-
wind.—coarse sand ചരലിൽ കിടന്നു RS. slept
on the ground.
ചരൽവഴി gravel path.
ചരവക്കൂറു čarava-kūrụ N. pr. A Brahmani-
cal section, also ചരവുകൂറ്റിൽ KU. is it the
same as ചോവരം? (certainly distinct from
പന്നിയൂർ) Acc. to some it is a Tdbh. of ശരഭം.

ചരാചരം čarāǰaram S. (ചരം) Things move-

I. ചരിക്ക čarikka S. v. n. To move, walk. ധ
ൎമ്മമാൎഗ്ഗേണ ചരിപ്പവർ Bhg. ബാണത്തെ നോ
ക്കി നോക്കി ചരിച്ചു AR. tried to evade the
arrows (or II.) — to observe തപഞ്ചരിച്ചു, ബ്ര
ഹ്മചൎയ്യവും ചരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു KR. (=ആചരി
ക്ക) — കന്നിനെ കണ്ടാൽ ഗോവിന്നെങ്ങനെ ച
രിക്കുന്നു KR. as a cow feels towards the calf.
II. ചരിക്ക T. M. (C. Te. Tu. സരി, ജരുഗു)
v. a. 1. To bend, to make to lean sidewards കാ
റ്റു ചമ്പചരിക്കും vu., ചരിച്ചിട്ടും കടക്കുന്നില്ല;
ചരിച്ചു നോക്കി peeped. 2. to lower a vessel, to
pour അസാരം ചരിക്കേണം give me to drink
(also ചെ —).

n. v. ചരിയുക 1. To slide, slip, roll down
