5th. There is another form of the precative, made by the help of മാറ,
which may be said to have a future progressive meaning; as,
നിന്റെ ശുദ്ധമുള്ള നാമം എന്നെക്കും സ്തുതിക്കപ്പെടുമാ
റാകട്ടെ or സ്തുതിക്കപ്പെടുമാറാകെണമെ.
May thy holy name be blessed for ever.
ഞങ്ങൾ ഇടവിടാതെ നിന്റെ നല്ല വിചാരണയുടെ
രക്ഷണത്തിൻ കീഴിൽ ഇരിക്കുമാറാകെണമെ.
May we be continually under the protection of the good providence.
6th. In requesting assistance from superiors the common form is സ
ഹായിക്കെണം; though സഹായിക്കെണമെ is frequently used: as,
അങ്ങുന്നെ ഇനിക്ക or ഞങ്ങൾക്ക അത ചെയ്തതരെണം,
or ചെയ്ത തരെണമെ.
Sir, be pleased to do that for me, or us.
When the form made with എണം is used by superiors to inferiors, it
is strictly imperative; as,
നിങ്ങൾ അവിടെ പൊകെണം. Go, or you must go thither.
111. The second person plural is formed from active, and in a few
cases, from neuter verbs whose present tense ends in ക്കുന്നു, by dropping
ക്കുന്നു, and adding പ്പിൻ. In most neuter verbs and their efficients,
together with verbs, whose present tense does not terminate in ക്കുന്നു, by
dropping ന്നു; and adding വിൻ. If the present tense end in യുന്നു,
the യുന്നു is dropped; if with യ്യുന്നു, യുന്നു is cut off and വിൻ added.
If the termination be ൎക്കുന്നു, ക്കുന്നു is dropped and പ്പിൻ added; as,
