മഹാ രാജശ്രി——സായ്പ അവർകൾക്ക——
വാകുന്ന അവർകൾ സെലാം എന്തെന്നാൽ
നാം അവിടെ നിന്ന പൊരുമ്പൊൾ സായ്പ അവർകളെ കണ്ട
ഇവിടെ എത്തി ഒരു കൊല്ലത്തൊളുമായി ശരീര സൌഖ്യത്തൊ
ട കൂടെ പാൎത്തുവരുന്നു. സായ്പ അവർകളുടെ ശരീര സൌ
ഖ്യ സന്തൊഷാദികൾ ഇപ്പൊൾ നാം ദൂരസ്ഥനാകയാൽ കൂട
കൂടെ അറിഞ്ഞ സന്തൊഷിപ്പാൻ സംഗതി വരാതെയും ആ
യിരിക്കുന്നു. ഇവിടെ ഉള്ള പല താലൂക്ക കാൎയ്യങ്ങൾക്ക ഇത
വരെയും ഒരു നിവൃത്തി വന്നിട്ടില്ലാത്തതിനാൽ ഇനിയും താമ
സിച്ചിരപ്പാൻ സംഗതി ആയിരിക്കുന്നു. വിശെഷിച്ചും ന
മുക്കുള്ള ചില കാൎയ്യങ്ങളിലെക്ക തലശ്ശെരി പാൎക്കുന്ന——
അവർകളെ കൊണ്ട വലുതായുള്ള ഗുണങ്ങളെ ചെയ്യിപ്പാൻ
കഴിയുന്നതാകകൊണ്ട സായ്പ അവർകൾ നമ്മുടെ മെൽ ദയ
വിചാരിച്ച മെപ്പടി സായ്പ അവർകളാൽ നമുക്ക ചെയ്വാൻ ക
ഴിയുന്നെടത്തൊളുമുള്ള സഹായങ്ങൾ ചെയ്ത തരുവാനായി
ഒരു കത്ത എഴുതി നമ്മുടെ കൈവശം എത്തിച്ച തന്ന ഗുണം
വരെണ്ട്വതിലെക്ക സംഗതി വരുത്തി തരിക വെണ്ടിയിരിക്കു
ന്നു എന്ന കൊല്ലം ൧൦൧൫മത കന്നിമാസം ൩൦൹ എഴുതിയത.

To——Saib——The Rajah residing at,——(in the
North,)——with his salam writes as follows. After having seen you at
the time of my leaving, I reached hither and have continued to reside here,
with bodily health for the space of one year. On account of my living
at such a distance, I have now but few opportunities to know and rejoice
respecting your bodily health and other enjoyments. As nothing, among
the many Talook affairs, has yet been effected, I shall be obliged to remain
here sometime longer. Moreover as——residing at Tellichery is able
to render me great assistance in some of my affairs, you showing me favor
must be pleased to write a letter and send it by me to that Gentleman,
that he may assist me as much as possible.
Written on the 30th of Cunne in the year 1015, Malabar date40 corres-
ponding to Oct. 14th 1839–40.
