അഞ്ചൽവിചാരം, ത്തിന്റെ. s. The charge of public conveyance of letters, the superintendance of the post.

അഞ്ജനൻ, ന്റെ. s. The elephant of the west.
അഞ്ജനം, ത്തിന്റെ. s. 1. Ointment for the eyes, or col- lyrium, such as lamp black, antimony, &c., used by wo- men in the east as applications to the eye lashes, to blacken them. 2. ink. 3. conjuration, divination. അ ഞ്ജനം എഴുതുന്നു. To apply collyrium to the eyes. അ ഞ്ജനം നൊക്കുന്നു. To conjure, to divine.
അഞ്ജനകെശി, യുടെ. s. J. A woman with black hair. 2. a vegetable perfume.
അഞ്ജനക്കല്ല, ിന്റെ. s. Antimony.
അഞ്ജനക്കാരൻ, ന്റെ. s. A conjurer, who being appli- ed to to discover thieves, or any thing concealed, places അഞ്ജനം in the palm of his hand or in a plate, or applies it to his eyes, and by this means the figure of the thief, and the whole transaction are supposed to be re- presented to himself alone.
അഞ്ജനകെശീ s. A vegetable perfume.
അഞ്ജനാ, യുടെ. s. The mother of Hanuman.
അഞ്ജനാവതീ, യുടെ. s. The female elephant of the north east.
അഞ്ജനിക, യുടെ. s. A species of lizard.
അഞ്ജലി. s. A cavity formed by putting the palms of both hands together, so as to contain water or any thing. അഞ്ജലികൂപ്പുന്നു. To form the above cavity.
അഞ്ജലിബന്ധം, ത്തിന്റെ. s. Holding the hands together as above.
അഞ്ജസാ. adv. 1. Soon, instantly. 2. truly, justly.
