കൈ. A syllabic or compound letter.
കൈ, യ്യിന്റെ. s. 1. The hand or arm. 2. an elephant's trunk. 3. the handle of a hoe or axe. 4. produce. 5. the stem of a palmira tree, or plantain tree. 6. party. 7. power, authority, strength. 8. gesture of the hand. 9. a written document, signature. 10. a channel, a branch of a river. 11. work. 12. a wing of an army. 13. the sleeve of a garment. 14. opportunity, time, term, turn. 15. a handful. 16. fruit. ഇടങ്കൈ. The left hand. വല ങ്കൈ. The right hand. These expressions signify the two factions into which nearly all the castes are divi- ded, and between whom not unfrequently very serious contentions take place regarding their privileges and customs.
കൈകടപ്പ, ിന്റെ. s. Violence, assault, attack.
കൈകണ്ടവിദ്യ, യുടെ. s. Experience, a work which any person has been accustomed to.
കൈകളിക്കുന്നു, ച്ചു, പ്പാൻ. v. a. To steal, to embezzle.
കൈകളിപ്പ, ിന്റെ. s. Stealing, embezzlement.
കൈകഴപ്പ, ിന്റെ. s. Cramp or fatigue of the hand. കൈകഴെക്കുന്നു. The hand to tire or become cramped.
കൈകാട്ടുന്നു, ട്ടി, വാൻ. v. a. 1. To shew the hand. 2. to shew with the hand, to point out. 3. to motion with the hand, to make signs with the hand. 4. to give something.
കൈകാണുന്നു, ണ്ടു, ണ്മാൻ. v. n. To be practised, experienced, accustomed.
കൈകാൎയ്യം, ത്തിന്റെ. s. 1. Making use of, that which is in use. 2. use. 3. work.
കൈകൂടുന്നു, ടി, വാൻ. v. n. 1. To be successful, to prosper. 2. to be done, accomplished. 3. to join hands, to meet in contest, to assault.
കൈകൂപ്പ, ിന്റെ. s. 1. The joining of the hands as a mark of respect or in worshipping. 2. the measure of a man equal to the height to which he reaches with both arms elevated, and the fingers extended.
കൈകൂപ്പുന്നു, പ്പി, വാൻ. v. a. 1. To join the palms of both hands together as a mark of great respect or in worshipping. 2. to lift up the arms above the head.
കൈകെയി, യുടെ. s. See കെകയി.
കൈകൊടുക്കുന്നു, ത്തു, പ്പാൻ. v. a. 1. To give the hand, to join hands. See കയ്യടിക്കുന്നു. 2. to give a written document.
കൈകൊട്ട, ിന്റെ. s. Clapping the hands. കൈ കൊട്ടുന്നു. To clap the hands.

കൈകൊൎക്കുന്നു, ൎത്തു, പ്പാൻ. v. a. To join hands. കൈകൊൎത്ത നടക്കുന്നു. To walk hand in hand or arm in arm.
കൈക്കണക്ക, ിന്റെ. s. 1. A written account of goods or money received. 2. a writing concerning the payment of a tax.
കൈക്കരുത്ത, ിന്റെ. s. The strength of the hand; strength, ability.
കൈക്കൽ. adv. Near. കയ്യിൽ. At hand.
കൈക്കലാക്കുന്നു, ക്കി, വാൻ. v. a. 1. To seize, to get possession of. 2. to embezzle, to get fraudulent posses- sion of.
കൈക്കാണം, ത്തിന്റെ. s. 1. Personal property, pro- perty in hand. 2. a bribe.
കൈക്കാരൻ, ന്റെ. s. 1. A good workman, a handi- craftsman. 2. a strong man. 3. a church-warden, or office bearer. 4. a person of property. 5. a cheat, a fraudulent person.
കൈക്കിതം. adj. Within reach, obtainable, practicable, at hand. സ്വാധീനം.
കൈക്കിര, യുടെ. s. What may be taken up in the hand.
കൈക്കില, യുടെ. s. Leaves, &c. used to take up any vessel from the fire.
കൈക്കീഴ. adj. Subject to, under authority or power of another.
കൈക്കരുത്ത, ിന്റെ. s. A blow given with the hand, a box.
കൈക്കുന്നു, ച്ചു, പ്പാൻ. v. n. 1. To be bitter. 2. to be bitter against one, to disrelish.
കൈക്കുറ്റപ്പാട, ിന്റെ. s. Handiwork, work (honori fic,) a term used by artificers to their superiors.
കൈക്കുറ്റം, ത്തിന്റെ. s. 1. Work (honorific.) 2. as- sault, any violence or fault committed by the hand.
കൈക്കൂട, ിന്റെ. s. The arm-pit.
കൈക്കൂലി, യുടെ. s. A bribe, bribery.
കൈക്കൂലിക്കാരൻ, ന്റെ. s. One who takes or gives bribes.
കൈകെട്ട, ിന്റെ. s. 1. Folding the arms across. 2. an ornament on the arms. 3. an iron covering for the arms of warriors. കൈക്കെട്ടുന്നു. 1. To fold the arms across, as a mark of great respect or reverence. 2. to trust. വി ശ്വസിക്കുന്നു. 3. to bear in mind. മനസ്സിൽ വെ ക്കുന്നു.
