കാംസ്യകാരൻ, ന്റെ. s. A brazier, or worker in white
copper, or Queen's metal. കന്നാൻ, മൂശാരി.

കാംസ്യം, ത്തിന്റെ. s. 1. A goblet or drinking vessel.
ഒട്ടുപാത്രം. 2. Queen's metal, white copper, any amal-
gam of zinc and copper. വെള്ളൊട. 3. a musical in-
strument, a sort of gong or plate of bell metal struck

appetite. ആഗ്രഹം.

കാംക്ഷിക്കുന്നു, ച്ചു, പ്പാൻ. v. a. To wish, to desire.

കാംക്ഷിതം. adj. Wished, desired. ആഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെ

കായക്കിഴങ്ങ, ിന്റെ. s. The bulbous root of the water
soldier.

കായപുഷ്ടി, യുടെ. s. Stoutness of body, strength, lusti-
ness, vigour of body.

കായപ്പുളി, യുടെ. s. A condiment, consisting of a mix-
ture of pepper, tamarinds, salt, cumin seed and assafœ-
tida.

കായബലനം, ത്തിന്റെ. s. Armour, mail. പടച്ചട്ട.

കായബലം, ത്തിന്റെ. s. Strength of body.

കായം, ത്തിന്റെ. s. 1. The body. ശരീരം. 2. the root
of the little finger. ചെറുവിരലിന്റെ മൂലം. 3. assa-
fœtida. 4. the lower part of the tail piece of a lute where
the wires are fixed. വീണയുടെ കമ്പികെട്ടുന്ന
സ്ഥലം.

കായൽ, ലിന്റെ. s. 1. A backwater running into the
sea, a lake. 2. black (the colour.) 3. a bamboo. കായ
ല്ചരക്ക. Petty merchandise.

കായല്പാടം, ത്തിന്റെ. s. 1. Yellow myrobalan. കടുക്ക. 2.
a drug, commonly Cacoli. കാകൊളി.

കായസ്ഥൻ, ന്റെ. s. A cast, a tribe, or a man of that
tribe; a Cáyesťh, or writer cast. മെനവൻ.

കായാമ്പൂവ, ിന്റെ. s. The beautiful flowers of the fol-
lowing tree.

കായാ, വിന്റെ. s. The name of a shrub, Memecylon
capitallatum and tinctorium. (Lin. Willd.)

കായികം, adj. Bodily. ശരീരസംബന്ധമുള്ളത.

കായികാവൃദ്ധി, യുടെ. s. Interest arising from service
drawn from the body of an animal, (as a cow, &c.) pledg-
ed; or according to some, interest of which the payment
does not affect the (body of the) principal. കുറവുകാ
ണം ഇത്യാദി.

കായിക്കുന്നു, ച്ചു, പ്പാൻ. v. n. 1. To bear fruit, said of
trees, &c. 2. to grow callous, as thick skin.

കായിലും, കായിൽ. A particle affixed to words and
means, than, rather.

കായുന്നു, ഞ്ഞു, വാൻ. v. n. 1. To be hot, or heated,
to be boiling hot, to be red-hot. 2 to be feverish, to
have fever. 3. to grow dry, to lose moisture. 4. to shine,
as the sun. 5. to labour, to endure fatigue. 6. to die.
