പട്ടി paṭṭi 1. (T. loose condition, prostitute, fr.
പടു). Miserable, പട്ടിക്കുതിരകൾ കൊണ്ടു വന്നു
കെട്ടി Nal. vicious. പട്ടിമാടു useless cattle
(abuse). 2. (T. പാട്ടി) a bitch ഊർപട്ടി; dog
in general ആണ്പട്ടി V1. കുരെക്കും പ. കടിയാ
prov. (hence in So. the fem. പട്ടിച്ചി). 3. T. M.
C. a fold for cattle, sheep. പട്ടികെട്ടുക (on the
open field). ആട്ടിൻപട്ടി a sheep-pen on high
pillars (Palg.); place where slaves stand to re-
ceive their hire. 4. Palg. N. pr. m., — വേലൻ.
പട്ടിക്കാടു N. pr. a place between Trichoor &
Palg. പട്ടിക്കാട്ടിലേ നായി (= കാട്ടുപട്ടി = പു
ലി) കടിച്ചിട്ടു വീട്ടിലേ നായേ തല്ലുന്നത് prov.

തറെക്ക. 2. a list മുതൽവിവരം പട്ടിക MR.;
ജമാപന്തിപ്പ. TR. any catalogue, indenture,
voucher, etc. കാൎയ്യസ്ഥന്മാരുടെ മാസപ്പടിപ്പ.,
സാദിൽവാരപ്പ. etc. നാട്ടുപ. a map.
പട്ടികയാണി a nail for laths.
പട്ടികയോടു flat tiles.
പട്ടിണി paṭṭiṇi (T. — നി) Privation of food
(പട്ടിണിപ്പാടു). പ. കിടക്ക to starve, go to
sleep without a meal. ചൊക്കനെ പ. കിടത്ത
രുതു TP. the dog must not be starved. ഒരു പ.
കഴിക്ക to fast one day. മൂന്നേത്തേപ്പ. കിടന്നു TP.

പ. ഇടുക, വെക്ക to abstain from food as one

not satisfied, he performs a funeral cere-
mony for the inmates, a curse more dreaded
than death KU.

boos grow ഇല്ലിപ്പട്ടിൽ V2. (പട്ടൽ = പടൽ V1.)
പട്ടിലൻ B. a barber of a low class.
പട്ടിശം paṭṭišam S. A sharp-edged spear (also
പട്ടസം, — യം).
പട്ടു paṭṭụ 5. 1. (S. പട്ടം) Silk. പട്ടുപുഴു a silk-
