നാഴിക nāḷiγa Tdbh.; നാഡിക 1. An Indian
hour of 24 minutes. It may be നല്ല, ശീത,
അമൃതനാ. and the position of planets may
make it yet more auspicious (മുഹൂൎത്തം); or
it is ആകാത്ത, ഉഷ്ണ, അശുഭ, വിഷനാഴിക,
(see നവദോഷം). 2. an Indian mile = ¼ Kōs
(2000 ദണ്ഡു); (often with വഴി) ആ മല ൩ നാ.

നാഴികച്ചിരട്ട or നാഴികവട്ട (ക) a clepsydra,
instrument (ചിരട്ട) for measuring time
filling within a Nāḷiγa (med.), നായ്യട്ട വെ

നികക്ക niγakka M. (Te. C. നെഗ, നിഗ, Tu.
നുഗി, T. നിവ) 1.To rise as in water ചെന്ന
തിൽ മുങ്ങി നികന്നു, a water-snake വാരിതന്മീ
തേ നികന്നു നോക്കി, bathers വെള്ളത്തിങ്കീ
ഴേ പോയി ദൂരത്തു ചെന്നു നികന്നു CG.; ചന്ദ്ര
നെപ്പോലേ ഭൂമി ആകാശത്തിൽ നികന്നു നി
ല്ക്കുന്നു to be aloft. 2. to fill up, as a hole;
to heal up as a wound വ്രണം നികന്നീടും PT.
