തറകെട്ടുക (1. 2) to raise a mound, to surround
a mound with stones, lay a foundation.
തറക്കെട്ടു = 1. the stone-foundation of a house.
തറയുക to be fixed, പച്ചവൃക്ഷത്തിൽ ആണി ത

stake, post. 2. a weaver’s loom, ചാലിയൻ ത.
or നെയ്ത്തുത. MR. (taxed). 3. a stick. തറി
ക്കൊമ്പു a small branch. കുറേച്ചം തറിയും മുറി
യുമേ അറിഞ്ഞുകൂടും No. he only knows bits &
ends. മുറിയും തറിയും തന്നിട്ടുള്ളു he has done
me. 4. No. a pin, in കൊടയും തറിയും മല
രും = a rivet (see തറ 4); ആണിയുടെ കൊട

Hence: തറികുത്തുക to drive down stakes. തറി
കുത്തികൊടുക്ക Palg., B. to give one a piece of
land to enjoy, by driving down one stake.
തറിച്ചക്ക (5) a young jackfruit cut up for കറി.
തറിയിടുക 1. to put hedge-stakes; (2) to
prepare the loom for weaving.
