കട്ട kaṭṭa T. M. (C. Te. ഗഡ്ഡ fr. ഗഡു stout,
thick). 1. Lump, mass, ചോരക്കട്ട coagulated
blood. കട്ടവെക്ക, പിടിക്ക to concrete as തയിർ
etc. തീക്കട്ടകഴുകിയാൽ കരിക്കട്ട prov. 2. = മ
ൺകട്ട clod, sod. ഉരുട്ടുക ക., പെട്ടിക്ക. (for build-
ing). 3. clog, കട്ടച്ചെരിപ്പു Palg. = മെതിയടി.
Hence: കട്ടക്കാര a thorny plant.
കട്ടക്കാണം 1. the right of breaking the
ground = തൂശിക്കാണം, കൊഴു അവകാശം.
2. a tenure of ricefields unfavorable to the
cultivator, hence called കഷ്ടക്കാണം.
കട്ടക്കിടാവു newborn infant തൻ ക. മായി തുഷ്ട
യായ്നിന്നാൾ CG. അരയന്നക്ക. പോലെ RS.
